Expected Value Calculator Core

Enter the odds your sportsbook is offering and the true win probability (use the No-Vig tool below to find it from a sharp book's line). If EV is positive, the bet makes money long-term.

e.g. +150, -110
Tip: get this from the no-vig line of a sharp sportsbook

No-Vig Fair Odds Find true probability

Sportsbooks bake a fee (the "vig") into every line. Enter both sides of a market β€” ideally from a sharp book like Pinnacle β€” and this strips the vig to reveal the fair probability of each side. Feed that number into the EV calculator.

Parlay Builder EV-checked

Add each leg with the odds you're offered and its true win probability. EdgeCalc multiplies the legs to show the parlay's real chance of hitting, what fair payout would be, and whether the parlay is +EV β€” plus what the book should pay vs. what it's offering. Only stack legs that are +EV on their own, and check the correlation guide for combos that boost each other.

Player Props Board Ranked by hit %

Pulls live player props from FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, ESPN BET, and Caesars, plus pick'em lines from PrizePicks, Underdog, DraftKings Pick6, and Betr Picks. EdgeCalc strips the vig from every book's price, averages them into a consensus true hit probability for each prop, and ranks the whole board from highest to lowest hit rate. A live board lists every player the books have posted across every game and prop type β€” finished games automatically drop off with every refresh, and each row shows its game's start time or a πŸ”΄ LIVE badge. Use the tabs to browse the full consensus board, flip to your sportsbook to see its exact lines and prices, or switch to the Player Pick'em tab and pick your platform. Live data needs a free API key from the-odds-api.com (takes 1 minute, 500 free credits/month) β€” or hit Load sample data to see exactly how it works right now.

No data loaded yet.
πŸ’‘ Click any row to expand the book-by-book breakdown: every sportsbook's own calculated percentage from its own odds, plus each pick'em platform's flat payout and breakeven %. Standard plays only β€” PrizePicks Demon and Goblin lines (alternate-multiplier plays) are excluded from the board: alt markets are never requested, and any DFS line sitting far off the sportsbooks' consensus line is auto-hidden as an alt play. Hit % is the vig-free consensus across real sportsbooks β€” DFS apps are shown for line comparison but excluded from the consensus, since pick'em pricing isn't a true two-way market. "EV @ best" is your edge betting the pick at the best sportsbook price. For PrizePicks-style entries, just take the highest hit-% picks whose DFS line matches the book line. Each live scan costs ~3 API credits per game per market (covers all sportsbook + DFS regions) β€” with All markets that multiplies by the number of prop types, so a full-slate all-markets scan can run 50–150+ credits. πŸ”΄ Live auto-refresh runs every minute, starting automatically after your first live load (it pauses while the tab is hidden) β€” every refresh re-pulls current lines and drops finished games. ⚠️ Budget accordingly: at 1-minute refreshes a full all-markets slate burns 50–150+ credits per minute, so the free 500/month key only survives minutes of that β€” narrow the scan to one market and a few games on the free tier, or upgrade the API plan (paid tiers are cheap) for the full board.

Kelly Criterion Bet Sizing Bankroll

Once you've found a +EV bet, Kelly tells you how much of your bankroll to stake to grow it fastest without going broke. Most pros use quarter or half Kelly to smooth out variance.

Bonus Bet Converter Turn promos into cash

A $50 bonus bet is not $50 β€” unless you convert it. The pro strategy: place the bonus on a longshot at one book, hedge the other side with cash at another book, and lock in the same profit no matter who wins. 70%+ conversion is excellent; longer odds usually convert better because the bonus (which doesn't return its stake) does more of the work.

the side you place the bonus bet on β€” longshots convert best
at a different book, with cash

Odds Converter Utility

Type odds in any one format β€” the other formats and the implied probability update instantly.

Implied probability includes the book's vig β€” it's what the book charges, not the true chance. Use the No-Vig tool for true probability.

Bet Correlation Guide Which legs stack well

Parlay legs aren't always independent. When one leg hitting makes another more likely to hit, the combo is positively correlated β€” the parlay's true probability is higher than just multiplying the legs, which can create hidden value (books price popular ones into same-game parlays). Negatively correlated legs fight each other and are almost always bad parlays.

Positively correlated β€” stack together

  • QB passing yards OVER + his WR receiving yards OVERThe same completions count for both. One of the strongest correlations in football.
  • Team moneyline + their star player OVER propsTeams usually win because their best players produced.
  • Game total OVER + both team totals OVERA shootout lifts everything at once.
  • Favorite to cover + game total OVERBlowouts often come with lots of scoring.
  • Pitcher strikeouts OVER + his team moneylineDominant pitching wins games.
  • NBA player points OVER + his team total OVERHis scoring literally feeds the team total.

Negatively correlated β€” avoid pairing

  • Game total UNDER + any player points/yards OVERYou need a low-scoring game and big individual numbers. Pick one.
  • Team moneyline + opposing player OVER propsYou're betting the loser's stars go off β€” it happens, but the legs pull opposite ways.
  • RB rushing yards OVER + his QB passing yards OVERMildly negative: teams that pound the run throw less. Weaker than people think, but not a boost.
  • Both team totals UNDER + any anytime TD scorerFewer points means fewer touchdowns for everyone.

Know before you build

  • Books block or reprice strong correlationsHighly correlated legs usually force you into a Same-Game Parlay (SGP), where the book adjusts the payout down to account for the correlation.
  • SGP odds are heavily juicedSGP hold is often 15–30%+ vs ~4.5% on a straight bet. The convenience costs you real EV.
  • Correlation β‰  free moneyA correlated parlay is only +EV if the book's price underestimates the correlation. Compare the offered payout to the fair payout in the builder above.

Rules for smart parlays

  • Every leg must stand on its ownParlaying -EV legs multiplies the book's edge against you. Check each leg in the EV calculator first.
  • Fewer legs, bigger edgeEach added leg compounds the vig. 2–3 strong legs beat 8 lottery legs long-term.
  • Cross-game legs are truly independentThe parlay builder's math is exact for legs from different games.
  • Shop the payoutThe same parlay can pay wildly different amounts at different books. Always compare.

What is expected value (EV) in sports betting?

Expected value is the average amount you'd win or lose on a bet if you could place it thousands of times. A +EV bet pays out more than the true probability says it should β€” the only kind of bet that makes money long-term. Sportsbooks profit because most bets are -EV after the vig; finding +EV means finding lines where the book's price is wrong.

The formula: EV = (win probability Γ— profit if you win) βˆ’ (loss probability Γ— stake). The hard part isn't the math β€” it's estimating the true probability. The standard approach is to take the no-vig line from the sharpest market available and treat that as the truth.

How do I find the true win probability?

Use the No-Vig calculator with both sides of the line from a sharp, high-limit sportsbook. Removing the vig from a sharp book's market is the most reliable free estimate of a bet's real probability. Then check what a softer book is offering β€” if they're paying more than the fair odds, you've found +EV.

Are parlays always a bad bet?

Parlays made of -EV legs compound the house edge and are among the worst bets in sports. But a parlay of genuinely +EV legs compounds your edge instead. The builder above shows the fair payout for your legs β€” if a book offers more than fair, the parlay is +EV.

Why use half Kelly instead of full Kelly?

Full Kelly maximizes growth but assumes your probability estimate is perfect. Since it never is, betting half the Kelly stake gives up very little growth while cutting the swings dramatically. Overbetting a wrong edge is how bankrolls die.
